Stay in Madeira - Day 2: The authentic north east

We start the day with the visit of the village of St Vincent then leave for the north-east through the spectacular coastal road which, with its multiple belvederes, suits the ocean and the mountains so well. You will appreciate the authenticity of this road, which overlooks the sea and crosses peaceful villages, where houses are drowned in the vineyards or close to the spectacular terraced crops that adorn the slopes of the mountains. It is a very rural setting wedged between the high mountains, the valleys and the ocean as far as the eye can see.
You will have lunch at the Quinta do Furão restaurant, which offers excellent cuisine in an exclusive natural setting. At the edge of the cliff, facing the sea, the view is sublime.
Then we leave for Achada do Teixeira, through Santana, where you will be deposited at 1592m above sea level and will have the opportunity to reach the highest peak, Pico Ruivo, which rises to 1862m. In good weather, expect sublime panoramas of the north coast, the east end, the plateau to the west and the Valley of the Nuns to the south. Many who, during the climb, turning to Santana, claimed that the landscape was similar to that of Mafat, on the island of Reunion. The return to the hotel will be by the same road as the outward journey
The full dinner will be taken at the hotel where a cooking class on local specialties is prepared especially for this occasion.
