Safari Tour 2: Majestic Mountains
After a first stop at the bay where the Portuguese landed in 1419/20, in the southeast coast, this tour continues along the ancient royal footpath, where our sight is captured by the geometry of the oldest terraces of the island, along the beaten tracks crossing the indigenous forest.
You will be amazed at the isolated rural nature of the villages we will visit. This is a tour rich in culture, with some of the most beautiful landscapes you can set your eyes on and breath-taking trails that will take you from sea level to Madeira’s highest mountains. Lunch as a supplement

Safari Tour 3: Vineyards & colors – Cabo Girão
Start your day at a place of stirring atmosphere, visiting one of the most emblematic sightseeing points before all the hustle and bustle of buses and visitors cars arrive at Cabo Girão.
Continue your trip to the mountains from where you can contemplate Nuns Valley village, trough pathways between farms in which cherry and chestnut trees share space with extensive vineyards, this route seems painted in green or bronze colours, sprinkled with the rooftop orange and multi-coloured walls downhill until at last reaching the blue sea spotted with the colourful typical Camara de Lobos boats resting from fishing. Afterwards, taste the nectar produced by one of the most antique wine cellars or the famous fisherman poncha, popular around this village. These are some of the surprises we have kept for you.

Safari Tour 4: Rising Sun
Santana, the UNESCO protected biosphere reserve, you have the opportunity to visit its typical houses, and Machico, which was the first capital of Madeira, well known for its history.
This tour begins in Ponta do Garajau, the cliff that serves as base to Christ King Statue (Sacred Heart Statue) and provides an interesting perspective from Funchal’s bay. We continue our excursion until Santa Cruz, one of Madeira’s earliest centres of population.
From where we start the vertiginous climb to the mountains, passing along farm tracks and glimpsing small settlements almost hidden by the rugged terrain. In this half day experience, we will have the opportunity of following native forest trails and the cobblestone royal path towards Machico city where we finish this wonderfully varied trip.

Safari Tour 5: North East - Flavours and fragrances
Exploring the north eastern part of Madeira, probably the most authentic. As you drive along the seaside, a beautiful cornice road, you will see the terraced fields that shape the mountainsides. You'll enter these deep green valleys, where the famous Madeira wine is grown, and other local crops that will delight your senses of smell and taste. Definitely a rural and picturesque atmosphere. Get ready for some off roading against the original Laurisilva forest. You will also visit the typical houses of Santana that bear witness to a recent past.

Safari Tour 6: South West - Fire Craters
A tour that focuses on the southwest, where the sun shines almost all year round and where peace and quiet reign. Let the guides lead you between the dirt roads and the narrow agricultural paths integrated in the fields full of banana trees which dominate the crops in these places and colour the landscape and the cliffs abundantly illuminated by the sun. Here you can see the evidence of a past where hundreds of canals transported the magma that formed our island to the surface.

Safari Tour 7: Nuns Valley
A village steeped in history as it was here, nestled in a mountain cirque, that the nuns of the Santa Clara de Funchal convent (Clare sisters) hid from the attacks of the corsair Bertrand de Montluc who plundered Funchal in October 1566. This tour starts at Pico dos Barcelos, with a superb view over the bay of Funchal and then the journey continues towards the mountains where there are several sublime viewpoints over the valleys where the local population still lives. You will have the opportunity to taste some liqueurs and other unique typical products. An aerial journey.

This adventure of the senses is done every Sunday and the highlight of this tour is the visit to the Santo da Serra market which takes place only on this day. This market is highly sought after by the locals as it presents 100% regional products where quality and taste are unique and tasty. It is not a tourist event but an opportunity to witness a slice of local life and the chance to mix with the locals. An experience that awakens the senses.
